There were solitary confinement cells, and a cell with absolutely NO photons coming in when the door was shut. And you can imagine that if they were putting someone in there, the door was definitely going to be shut. To the left (which seems backwards) you can see a plaque on a stand. It was for To Hieu who died right there in this prison. We just happened to visit on the anniversary of To Hieu's death, March 7, 1944
